What You Will Learn
The specialization “Risk and Insurance” will enable you to become an insurance specialist. The focus of this specialization is on acquiring analytical skills and solid specialist knowledge. You will gain an overview of value creation processes as well as product development and maintenance in the insurance market. You will analyze and formulate product strategies and develop marketing and sales concepts. Finally, you will also deal with the legal aspects of insurance contracts and insurance supervision.
You will learn how an insurance company operates as a whole, where the relevant levers are, and what process of change the industry is currently undergoing. Risk and Insurance was developed in cooperation with practitioners and is recommended by the Swiss Insurance Association (SIA).

Sound and Practically Oriented
A specialization in Risk & Insurance provides sound scientific knowledge as well as practical know-how. As a full-time student, the program takes six semesters, as a part-time student eight semesters to complete. The specialization "Risk & Insurance" offered at the ZHAW School of Management and Law is unique in Switzerland.
