Work permits (part-time employment and internships)
During the semester you are allowed to undertake paid employment for a maximum of 15 hours per week. During semester breaks, foreign students may take on a higher work load. In both cases all international students must have a work permit, which can only be obtained after the residence permit has been issued. Non-EU Bachelor's or Master's degree students must live in Switzerland for at least 6 months to become eligible for a work permit.
